With 58 branches across the UK, the decision to centralise its Distribution Hub resulted in a number of supply chain benefits, increased the product capacity as well as enabling expansion of the range with up to 5,200 tonnes of stock being warehoused at any given time.
Stakapal were the chosen partner for the specialist High Bay Narrow Aisle Cantilever Racking system which was similar to the design we previously supplied to their Magna Park Distribution Centre. With column heights in excess of 10 mtrs and designed to carry 9,000kgs per column side supported by 12 Arm levels in height, it was always a project that called for an unrivalled level of technical expertise.
This flagship site caters for a high level of stock and picking movements per day incorporating the inter-branch transfer process. With up to 5,200 tonnes of Pipe stock being warehoused within Racks at any given time it was a project that called for an unrivalled level of technical expertise that Stakapal were able to deliver.
